Record Store Sales Assistant / part time
Cruise Records is a Punk, Metal and Country record store in Hamburg St. Pauli, besides vinyl, shirts and concert tickets we also sell craft beers.
We opened in November 2021, started an online store a month later and here we are, looking for more helping hands to cope with the daily business.
You will be responsible for performing a range of duties that ensures our customers have a welcoming experience whether shopping in our store or picking up an order.
This is a part-time position with flexibility needed for scheduling between 14hrs and 19hrs (Tue-Fri), including Saturdays (11-20hrs), some holidays and busy festival weekends (Booze Cruise, Reeperbahn Festival, Hamburg Beer Week)
You will
- Perform register sales transactions quickly and accurately
- Maintain the Sales Floor – keeping shelves and our fridge full
- Assist with cleaning routines around the store – including dusting, restrooms and vacuuming
- Organize the stockroom, ensuring it is well-maintained to support selling efforts of the store
- Assist to host in-store events like concerts, signing sessions and beer tastings

Qualifications
- Love for Punk, Country and/or Metal records
- Maybe you know a thing or two about beer
- Engaging with people is something you enjoy
- Previous retail experience preferred
- Experience with Shopify POS is also a plus
- Some common knowledge in “computer skills”
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- No German = No problem. All team members speak English and most of our customers do too
