PRIMETIME FAILURES's Tobi picking five records by SHIELD RECORDS you should check out!

PRIMETIME released several records with SHIELD throughout the years.
Let's have a look, which label mates put out Tobi's favourites.

Pick One

TIRED RADIO - Patterns

This is where it all started, the EP that took a lot of us by suprise by coming out of nowhere and made us wanna go on a five day bender ... the soundtrack for ruining your life in the best way possible and jumping in to a vulcano headfirst smiling like a lunatic

Pick Two

EATEN BY SNAKES - S/T

Two of our hometown friends, 4 songs and a sound totally their own. Just imagine indie, punk and a synthie going out for a couple of drinks and waking up hungover on the living room floor all coozy with their heads on a thermals record ... try not to get "Sun up, sund down" stuck in your head for a couple of days after listening ...

PICK THREE

HARKER - No Discordance

Fell in love with Harker, when I got myn hands on the 7" featuring "Gasping for air" and longing for more got ahold of this record and damn, try listening to this collection of bangers without falling in love with these fine folks instantly ... if you only listen to one song, make it "300 Cigarettes" and tell me it's not an instant classic.

Here we go

PICK FOUR

THE REAL DANGER • Making Enemies / Down And Out

Most of us always are on the search for the perfect po punk record an mostly focuse on all the releases from the other side of this Atlantic thing you might have heard about but damn, the netherlands might have the best thing besides tasty, fried treats when it comes to The Real Danger. This is fast, this is melodic, this is hard hitting and they have the damn melodies to kill for. Make sure to see them live if you ever get the chance, well worth it and they might have some Descendents or ALL records at home ... just wild guessing here ...

Danger Danger

Pick Five

THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS • What Keeps You Breathing

Try to convince google to tell you something about these fine gentlemen from Lincoln might be an adventure in itself, but whatever showband nonsense the machine might come up with, it's somehow fitting ... this record is wat you get when you throw a ton of sing alongs in a blender to get you the feel-good album you never knew you desperately needed. This might be Shield Recordings best kept secret so grab a copy whenever you get the chance to.
