TRUST ISSUES • Timekeeping Starts Right Now • LP
Trust Issues is the four-piece puzzle composed of individuals who have been active on the punk, hardcore, and noise playground since the 1980s, dropping names that resonate: Crowd of Isolated (XMist Records) is certainly the most well-known, the early band of Guschtel and Gurke, featuring Stick Boy, Oaks, Gough, Jack A Napes, Bushfire, Kingsize Canary, Mofahead, and more. Musically, Trust Issues can be described as a blend of punk rock, hardcore, post-something, noise rock, to open a few drawers. And of course, many comparisons lead towards Washington D.C. when listening and categorizing, and that's perfectly fine.
For the band, the question of trust is primarily about having confidence in their own creativity: "What we play is what comes out – a journey through the record collection, just for fun." Trust Issues is often angry, sarcastic, ironic, (self-)critical, but also contemplative and reflective.
