"Kettcar from Hamburg has managed to establish themselves on the musical map in a relatively short time, with their German-language independent rock, similar to bands like Tocotronic and the Donots. They have achieved over 25,000 downloads from their website and distributed 5,000 CDs at their concerts, contributing to their rapid recognition beyond the German punk scene. The band consists of former members of But Alive and Rantanplan, led by vocalist Marcus Wiebusch. Numerous individual performances, as well as support gigs with Bad Religion and appearances at the Rock am Ring / Rock im Park festivals in 2002, certainly played a significant role in their success.
