"Sun up, sun down", the third song on this single-sided 12", reminds me in a strange way of the wonderful Rod Stewart song "Young Turks" (good lyrics, by the way). And once you've got it in your ears, you can't get away from it.
Rod Stewart was also a punk. And Daniel (drums, synth) and David (vocals, guitar, synth) from Bielefeld are it too, in their hearts, but not in a conventional musical way - unlike their previous band MODERN SAINTS.
As a duo, they recorded four atmospherically dense songs, pimped by synths but never sounding like electro-pop (Role from Tonmeisterei mixed them), and finally pressed them on black vinyl (limited to 321 ex.), which was then decorated on the non-groove side in the in-house screen printing shop (fairtrademerch.com).
Four great songs, in the core pop-punk, but by the instrumentation somehow special. More of it please!"
