Ten years ago, four 20-year-olds with zero expectations wrote and recorded an EP in a shared house on Chapel Street in a single afternoon. Those six electrifying minutes of music became Giddy Up. An hour later, Amyl and The Sniffers had a name, a Bandcamp upload, and the beginning of a legend.

After a year of backyard gigs, shows for friends, and parties in Melbourne’s sticky-carpet music scene, the band released their iconic second EP, Big Attraction, in 2017.

To celebrate a decade of raw power and reckless spirit, Giddy Up / Big Attraction now returns in a definitive 10-inch vinyl edition for its 10th anniversary—fully remastered for maximum impact.

Featuring early classics like “I’m Not A Loser” and “Stole My Pushbike,” alongside fan-favorite live staples “Balaclava Lover Boogie” and “Westgate,” this is the sound of Amyl and The Sniffers before the world caught on—wild, witty, and unstoppable.

The LP comes in a gatefold sleeve featuring Chris Sutherland’s iconic 2017 band photo, an exclusive new essay by Amy Taylor, and a wealth of previously unseen images from the band’s early days by Jamie Wdziekonski. Amy recalls: “We recorded and wrote it all in one afternoon… we had never even played together before that day… it was spontaneous, fun, and something that worked at the time because it sounded more than good enough to us—we weren’t perfectionists and it didn’t matter.”
