Major Label
With ANGESCHISSEN, a quartet entered the Hamburg punk scene in 1984, which would prove to be influential for an entire subgenre while simultaneously serving as the blueprint for German-language emo punk, as it continues to enjoy immense popularity through Jens Rachut’s subsequent bands. This double LP is a compilation of the first ANGESCHISSEN LP, the “Angst macht keinen Lärm” single, demos and rehearsal recordings from 1987, and two unreleased cover songs as live recordings from 1994. Altogether, there are 24 tracks, along with liner notes from Stephan Mahler and the only band photo from 1986 included as a large-format postcard! The record is released in a sturdy 350 g/m² cover with a 5mm spine, the original LP and 7″ artworks have been reproduced, and the LPs are housed in heavy 300 g/m² printed inner sleeves.
