I am still blown away by their set at Uberyou's releaseparty in Zurich earlier this year!
Annie Taylor, a band with a unique blend of grungy, self-destructive 90s music, alternative rock, and psychedelic sounds, releases their second album, "Inner Smile."
The songs dive into a broad spectrum of human emotions and emphasize the importance of finding acceptance and inner peace even in the most challenging moments. The band had an intense and fulfilling experience during the album's recording process.
They worked with producer Ali Chant, known for his work with renowned artists such as PJ Harvey and Yard Act. The recording took place at The Playpen, a studio in Bristol, UK, where they recorded the album over a period of two weeks.
Singer Gini describes the time as follows: "Collaborating with Ali was an extraordinary journey. He truly understood the sonic direction we wanted to pursue and helped us realize our vision. We spent countless hours in the studio meticulously defining and exploring guitar sounds. It was a challenging but rewarding process, and the entire crew is absolutely thrilled with the end product."
