In 1991, the manifesto of the angry Riot Grrrls was born. What happened after that? Have their demands been fulfilled? Punk is not dead – at least, that’s what some say – and even today, there’s no lack of critical voices addressing racism, sexism, homophobia, and trans*phobia within the punk scene. These voices are featured in "Our Piece of Punk", as it’s time to continue these discussions.

"Our Piece of Punk: A Queer_Feminist Perspective on the Scene" is a collection of drawings, comics, written contributions, discussions, and declarations of love exploring the possibilities and limitations of queer_feminism in punk. But this is not about looking back nostalgically or saying “things were better in the old days” of Riot Grrrl. Instead, the book gives a platform to 40 musicians, concertgoers, festival organizers, punks, comic artists, and sound technicians who love and live punk and DIY culture today – with all its quirks, edges, and frustrations.
