The band, which features (ex-)members of established scene formations such as Tackleberry, Shutcombo, Oat and Piefke, attracted a lot of well-meaning attention with their debut "You Didn't Doubt This" (2021), but had to forego many live concerts for even longer due to the restrictions.

The eleven tracks on "Fatigue" leave no doubt that Chartreux are far from exhausted. They move between old-school hardcore, melodic and emopunk with skill and authentic spirit, and the precise production of the album doesn't detract from the spontaneous garage appeal of the music. Polyphonic, often quickly alternating vocals increase the restless, impatient drive of the Chartreux sound, in which an acoustic guitar is also allowed to make a guest appearance as a matter of course. This band plays in a completely natural, cool and relaxed manner with a great deal of love for the roots of the music and sounds completely fresh and in the here and now.
