"Love Comes Close" was born from late nights, second-hand synths, and the quiet urgency of DIY bedroom recordings. Originally released on Heartworm Press and later reissued by Matador Records as the band began to gain cult status, the album offers eleven dark pop songs for the lonely and the searching—fragile, romantic, and bathed in cold light.

With nods to early experiments by The Human League, Throbbing Gristle, and New Order, the album fuses gothic undertones with indie charm and loft-style synth-pop. Eisold’s vocals are both distant and intimate—poetic, vulnerable, and piercing.
