In the fall of 2018, KARIES will release their third album entitled “Alice” after “Seid umschlungs, Millions” and “It’s out”.
The new, really excellent Karies work was recorded, produced and mixed by Max Rieger and so that everything stays in the family, Rav Milberg was once again responsible for the master.
With “Alice” Karies emancipate themselves a little from the two previous albums. They seem to have left behind the melancholy that burst out every minute of the last album - why apparently? Because both the newly discovered playfulness and finesse of the arrangements as well as the cover, which is absurdly colorful by Karies standards, takes us by the hand and leads us on the wrong track - This is the new side of Karies, somehow excited and colorful. It all sounds a little more confident until you listen to the lyrics. Things continue to be bleak and clearly ambiguous.
