It appears even more elegiac when Thees Uhlmann wistfully observes, "There were people in the streets, singing songs from 20 years ago," only to resign himself finally, saying, "The night I died, these guys sang a song." The tears gradually turn into torrents, yet they make the heart swell with emotion. In the profoundly personal title track, it is said, "Everything makes sense, everything fits together [...] Please think about tomorrow / It was a sunny night." Once in a lifetime, you can be the melancholic chirping cricket by the shore of an artificial lake, and you no longer know whether to laugh or cry. Probably the latter.
