A lot has happened at Duesenjaeger since the release of their last LP, "Treibsand." The "20 Years of Duesenjaeger" celebration may have fallen victim to the pandemic, but as soon as possible, rehearsals resumed, plans were made, concerts were played—and a record was recorded.

On the one hand, Duesenjaeger doesn't let themselves be deterred from their unique sound, which has been the band's hallmark for over 20 years now: raw, powerful, melodic, and characterized by minor chords. On the other hand, there are also unfamiliar and unheard elements that seem to break up the sound.

Right from the start, the album introduces "Ins Schwarze," a soundtrack for doubt, for breaking out, or for withdrawing into oneself. Come home or run away, hope for the best or be pessimistic?

When the intro leads into the second song, "Too Little, Too Late," it's clear: this is what it's all about. The heavy melancholy, the restlessness, a vague annoyance about things that happen but can't be changed. Or can it?
