Freas spent the last decades touring as a vocalist and guitarist with the Olympia, Washington punk band RVIVR. On Patient Ones, Freas operates a bit more quietly as a solo artist - with an acoustic guitar and minimal accompaniment from cellist Jen Grady. The music is stripped down to the essentials, giving the talented guitarist room to explore her dark side with her lyrics

Those who have followed Freas' work will recognize her sparse arrangements of songs that previously appeared in anthemic form on RVIVR ("Goodbyes") and her dream-inspired project SOMNIA ("Silver").
