Since their debut EP Billstedt in 2020, Christian Klindworth, Antoine Laval, and Lars Brunkhorst have been fine-tuning a sound entirely their own, somewhere between post-punk and melody-loving indie rock. fluppe have released two albums, Blüte (2021) and Boutique (2023). They have performed at the Reeperbahn Festival, opened for Turbostaat, and—above all—toured tirelessly through clubs, playing their own shows. But of course, the era of multiple crises doesn’t simply pass fluppe by either, especially since it’s almost inevitable that a touch of Cure-style guitars will shine through here and there when you’re recording an album with producer Tobias Siebert (Klez.e, And The Golden Choir).
