2024 was a pivotal and monumental year for the Dublin quintet Fontaines D.C., whose fourth album, Romance, was hailed as one of the albums of the year, cementing their status as one of the most exciting bands of their generation.

Romance quickly achieved Gold certification in the UK and received widespread acclaim, earning nominations for two GRAMMYs and a BRIT Award. The new anthem was produced by James Ford, who also shaped the sound of last year's critically acclaimed album.

"It’s Amazing To Be Young" is accompanied by a video directed by renowned BAFTA winner Luna Carmoon (Hoard, Shagbands), who previously directed the videos for Here’s The Thing and In The Modern World. The video for the new single completes a cinematic trilogy, bringing together Martin (Ewan Mitchell) from In The Modern World and Spider (Grace Collender) from Here’s The Thing in an unexpected yet wonderfully surreal love story.

"It’s Amazing To Be Young" will also be available as a highly limited 7” vinyl featuring the brand-new B-side, Before You I Just Forget, from April 18, and is available for pre-order now.
