IRNINI MONS from Lyon, France, didn’t just fall from the noiserock heavens; they are the successor band to the well-known and beloved DECIBELLES, who disbanded in autumn 2021 after over ten years of band history, many releases, and hundreds of concerts. Named after a volcanic structure on the planet Venus, IRNINI MONS play a progression of hardcore punk, noiserock, and "Rock Français," striving to break down genre boundaries even further. All band members sing, sometimes solo and sometimes harmonizing, adding layers to their sound. On their self-titled debut album, the band presents six songs that musically and in terms of length—sometimes nearly 6 minutes per song—far exceed the known limits of their predecessor band. A second guitarist adds depth to the sound and new impulses to the songwriting.
