On "Nocturnal Manoeuvres," the post-hardcore duo JOHN further expands their idiosyncrasies while relying on the proven Wayne Adams, who excellently captures their live presence and produced their previous releases. Due to the quality of the new recordings, JOHN enlisted mastering engineer Sarah Register (Protomartyr, Future Islands, Chastity Belt) to give the diverse tracklist the necessary space it deserves.

The result is a colossal, titanic work that effortlessly navigates between cinematic post-rock, elastic post-hardcore, and pounding noise rock. The album is the successor to their second album, "Out Here On The Fringes" (2019), which propelled JOHN into the Top 40 of the UK Independent Vinyl Charts. It was featured as the "Album of the Day" on BBC 6Music with three consecutive playlisted singles, and the band toured with acts such as IDLES, METZ, and Mclusky.
