The album 'Songwriter' was created in 1993 when Cash recorded an album of self-written songs. However, he promptly forgot about this album when he signed with American Recordings and reintroduced himself to a completely new generation of fans as one of the best songwriters in the world. These (almost) forgotten 11 songs from the 'Songwriter' album have now been revisited by his son John Carter and Cash's longtime producer, David Ferguson.
