Don’t worry – KEINE ANGST IM DUNKELN isn’t miles away from Denis’ main band musically. It’s still dark, haunting, and mysteriously atmospheric – the kind of sound that could easily serve as a soundtrack to Boardwalk Empire.

The connection to SUIR, and The Brian Jonestown Massacre is obvious, yet Denis never slips into imitation. The moods are similarly evocative, though the song structures are a bit more traditional and less labyrinthine.
