To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Hamburg indie institution, Grand Hotel van Cleef, they are reissuing 20 classic albums from their catalog as limited edition marbled vinyl records. Every 3 months, 5 legendary albums will be released: 

For their debut album "Du und wieviel von deinen Freunden" (You and how many of your friends), Kettcar, together with Tomte's singer Thees Uhlmann, founded the label Grand Hotel van Cleef. Praised enthusiastically by the press (Rolling Stone: "a groundbreaking record," Visions: "The best German-language record in a long, long time"), the album was a notable success.
Now  their new, second Kettcar album "Von Spatzen und Tauben, Dächern und Händen" (Of Sparrows and Pigeons, Roofs and Hands) has arrived and manages to let our lives pass by in an incredible way, encompassing all its facets. The songs touch on the truth and authenticity of love, as well as the pain of loss, subtly and magnificently. It still holds true: "Take the best from punk, sprinkle in a bit of electronic here and there, package it as pop, and name it after your favorite (and still coolest) toy" (laut.de). Kettcar may not be elegant and cool because when you go where Kettcar's songs take you, elegance and coolness are incredibly far away. Kettcar possess what fewer and fewer do: songs that describe the world from within themselves.
