Since their formation in 1998, Kryptos from Bangalore/India have stood for first-class old school heavy metal with a thrash edge. in 2010, they were the first Indian band ever to tour Europe and quickly gained a reputation as an excellent live act, which they more than solidified in 2013 with a performance at the Wacken Open Air, again as the first band beyond the Indian Ocean, and as support for Death Angel, Testament or Iron Maiden, among others.

While the first three albums "Spiral Ascent" (2004), "The Ark Of Gemini" (2008) and "The Coils Of Apollyon" (2012), which were highly praised by the press, remained rather under the radar of the masses, the Indian underdogs shed their exotic bonus with the 2016 grenade "Burn Up The Night" at the latest. With a sound influenced by bands like Accept, Judas Priest or Kreator, they nevertheless remain true to their underground roots and thus shape the very own Kryptos style.

So what could be more obvious in 2019, fitting for the band's twentieth anniversary, than for the spearhead of the Indian metal revolution to release their fifth, so far grimmest album, completely putting the pedal to the metal?!

"Afterburner" shines with razor-sharp riffs, string-shredding solos and a blitzkrieg-like double-guitar assault, all in the tradition of the old heavy iron forges. As with their predecessors, Anupam Roy was at the mixing desk, and Bill Hauser, who also designed the crazy artwork for Hirax and Skeletonwitch, was enlisted for the cover design. Following the release in summer 2019, Kryptos, currently under contract with Seaside Touring for the booking, will start another attack on Europe to thrill the masses with their rousing show!
