The Ska-Punx from Solvang, California present their first album since their 2018 cover album "Punk Rocksteady," demonstrating why they still belong at the forefront of Ska and Reggae-Punk.
The album offers 12 punchy tracks, recounting tales of pain and betrayal, love and loss, and the bright light of new beginnings. This is evident in the majority of the songs, which carry a noticeable melancholic vein.
As lead singer/guitarist Chuck Robertson mentions, the album is very personal to him. Created over 3 (pandemic) years in a wooden shed, where he found new inspiration and creativity with new friends and fellow musicians, the album takes on the emotional journey of returning from depths and uncertainties back into the light.
