Most people associate melancholy with sadness. For skaters, however, "Melancholy" is just a trick with the board. And for those who know Swedish, Millencolin is linked to a ska-punk band. 

Pennybridge is the literal translation of their hometown Örebro (Öre = Penny, Bro = Bridge). The album was produced by Brett Gurewitz.

For many critics, Pennybridge Pioneers is considered Millencolin’s best release. The album is characterized by a departure from ska rhythms in favor of more rock-oriented riffs. In a way, Pennybridge Pioneers offers punk rock in the American tradition with a Swedish twist.
