Mouth from Cologne are switching labels with their fourth album “Getaway” — moving from prog label Tonzonen to This Charming Man — and no one could be happier about it than me! What a wild trip the three of them are taking us on here.

Right from the start, the first track nearly fills an entire side of an LP. Tripping beautifully through the swampy rock landscapes of the ’60s and ’70s, Mouth meander through every genre a classic rock band can touch — prog, rock, space, garage, jazz, and krautrock — all of it molded together into a cohesive, stomping mass on “Getaway.”

With “Once,” they’ve got a true hit on board — the kind of song that could set any indie or rock party dance floor shaking. Simply fantastic.
