Municipal Waste are an American thrash metal band formed in Richmond, Virginia, in 2001. The band is known for their fast-paced, aggressive sound and humorous lyrics, often focusing on themes like partying, skateboarding, and pop culture references. They draw influences from classic thrash metal bands like Slayer, D.R.I., and Nuclear Assault, infusing their music with a modern and energetic approach.
Previously released in 2003 as a split-EP with Californian crossover Thrash trio Bad Acid Trip, the re-release includes the original 5 Municipal Waste tracks. In addition there are 4 bonus tracks including covers of Poison Idea and Corrosion Of Conformity. With all-new artwork and an etching on Side B, the tracks were remastered by J-F Dagenais (Kataklysm).
