SY's ninth album marked a new era for the band. It's the first record to feature Kim almost exclusively on guitar rather than bass, and contains some of the longest tracks since "Goo" and "Daydream Nation", including the epic "Diamond Sea", which stretches over 20 minutes, still the longest track on an SY album (excluding the SYR releases). ncidentally, "The Diamond Sea" would prove to be one of the band's most popular songs and, along with SY's headlining slot on this summer's Lollapalooza tour, would introduce legions of new fans to their music.
