Berlin-based Splizz presents new songs that take things to the next level in every respect. As soon as the needle drops into the groove, the room temperature cools noticeably, and the first notes are like wrapping you in that cozy, dark cloak that the self-titled tape already envelops. The clear, cold, "stripped to the bone" and light-weight sound aesthetic is juxtaposed with deeply personal lyrics, revealing a band that seems to straddle the line between two stools, masterfully quoting while remaining unrealistically unique.
