A symbiosis of old and new — a sound from the past for the future. That’s exactly what Tausend Augen sound like. Their aesthetic is the result of a get-together of 50-year-old microphones, compressors, tape machines, vintage organs, synthesizers, and guitars with modern recording techniques. Their debut album, “Westend,” sounds simultaneously familiar and distant, a bridge between musical generations.

In search of something that truly excites and inspires them musically, they quickly return to the roots of experimental and innovative rock. This free-spirited, pioneering approach is contagious, and their sound combines electronic music, psychedelic rock, motorik, post-punk, and noise with German lyrics.
