The Armed are back with "The Future Is Here and Everything Needs to Be Destroyed", the follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2023 album "Perfect Saviors."
The Armed are post-hardcore, non-conceptual alternative metal-pop!
After completing their album trilogy—centered around the exploration of artistic authenticity in the information age—The Armed began working on new material without predefined rules or concepts. Instead, they embraced a fresh sense of urgency and pressure, ushering in a new era for the post-hardcore collective.
The result is a furious and confrontational album—an unfiltered expression of Weltschmerz, a German word describing the pain felt when reality doesn't match our idealized visions of what the world should be.
“This record is a rejection of sanitized, upper-middle-class-curated rebellion,” says vocalist Tony Wolski. “It’s music for a statistically wealthy population that somehow can’t afford food or medicine, endlessly scrolling through vacation photos, gym selfies, and images of amputated children—all in the same feed. It reflects the detachment required to exist in this reality.”
The Armed continue to turn outrage at an incomprehensible world into innovative songs filled with bold sound design—driven by their deep belief in community and collaboration, a principle that defines the collective and shines through their many guest contributors.
Featuring contributions from: Ken Szymanski, Patrick Shiroishi, Urian Hackney, Kurt Ballou, Troy Van Leeuwen, Meghan O'Neil, Cara Drolshagen, Tony Wolski, Brian Wolski, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Ben Chisholm, Prostitute, Zach Weeks, Mark Guiliana, Kayleigh Goldsworthy, and Derek Coburn.
