Only a year after their last album "King's Mouth", The Flaming Lips 2020 are already back from the studio with a new record. "American Head" is the name of album number 16.
The band recorded a total of 13 new tracks for it. They got support from country singer Kacey Musgraves, who can be heard as a background vocalist in three songs.
This also includes the single "Flowers Of Neptune 6", which The Flaming Lips presented alongside the track "My Religion Is You" as a first preview.
Both show: Between art rock, neo-psychedelia, indie rock and more, The Flaming Lips 2020 once again turn out to be experimental geniuses.
