The Italian Stallion is the predecessor band of Abfukk, with 4 out of 5 members being the same. TIS existed from 2003 to 2008, during which time they released three singles (two on EA80-Martin's 'Musikzimmer' label, one on their own Play to Destroy label), a demo, and contributed to various samplers. After a last-minute cancellation of a European tour and before recording their first LP, the band disbanded and shortly thereafter re-emerged as Abfukk with a new sound. Posthumously, a wonderful limited photo book with a discography CD was released, which serves as the basis for this LP. It includes all 45 songs ever recorded by TIS, including unreleased material, sampler contributions, and some cover versions, all available on vinyl for the first time in years.

Italian Stallion were and are the kings of short, concise, and energetic thrash-hardcore-punk, with raw lyrics that hit the mark and a musical horizon drawing from 80s hardcore greats like Black Flag & Co., as well as Slime and GG Allin. Few songs are longer than a minute, none exceed two minutes, clearly defining the tempo and intensity of the Wegbergers. They delivered energetic and powerful live shows, led by Marcel, a great showman who left everything on stage. They knew when to quit, before losing enthusiasm, and moved on to something else: hardly could they have been more likable and consistent, and that's why TIS got everything right.
