After over 30 years on stages ranging from punk cellars to main festival stages, Uli Sailor now releases his first piano solo album. 

„Besser Anders“ is the result of two years of intensive work—ten songs full of energy, melancholy, and attitude. The album was produced partly in Berlin by Thies Neu and partly in Cologne by Tobias Röger (Wohlstandskinder, Udo Lindenberg, Slime).

Musically, Uli bridges Indie rock and punk but stays far from watered-down pop. Piano, cello, and vocals meet edgy arrangements and lyrics that lie somewhere between daydream and bone factory—poetic, angry, reflective. Themes like gentrification, digital alienation, and an unshakable love for punk run through the entire work. „Besser Anders“ is an album against interchangeability. 
Patrick Reerink (GUTS PIE EARSHOT) provides the cello parts on the album. „Kiezblock“ was created together with Chris Kotze (KOTZREIZ), supported by Totze Trippi (BEATSTEAKS) on bass and a choir of friends—including Dead End Kids, Berlin Blackouts, Von.Orten, and Töff Malstroem.
On „Der demagogische Wandel" Guido Donot (DONOTS) plays a memorable guitar solo. This makes „Besser Anders“ more than a lonely solo project; it is a collective statement with attitude.
