This Charming Man

Over 300 shows in the last 3 years, US tour, South Asia tour, among others supporting Rise Against and The Sword, invitations to SXSW & Groezrock – these accomplishments speak for themselves.
The Australian rat pack, Clowns, certainly doesn't hold back. I admit, one can argue whether the name "Clowns" is well-chosen for a punk band, and honestly, just because of the name, I didn't even want to listen to the album at first – that would have been really foolish. After all, hindsight is 20/20. After a friend saw Clowns live in the States, I received the following email: "Duuuude, it was an absolute blast, the best live band I've seen in a long time, and they do it with just four people, insane! And they're really nice too – make the album!" And he's right – you have to make the album, because after the first song, it should be clear that names are really just noise and smoke. Nothing stays the same; it's a blast – it's really undeniable in this case that "Bad Blood" is probably the coolest punk record I've heard in recent years. Boom – the four dudes from Australia blow the wrinkles out of your pants. Let it be known: the band with the silly name really knows how to rock. If you've ever wondered, after a few beers, what a brilliant combination of The Bronx, Trash Talk, '77 punk, and late '80s skatepunk could sound like, you'll find the answer here. Insane, catchy, truly brutal and gritty, with a fantastic singer and an insanely good stage presence.
