"YVET GARDEN take a more laid-back approach. After releasing their debut EP in 2018, the French band is now back with their second EP. One song per year, almost, and each of the five tracks has been given the time and attention it deserves. Here, quality clearly takes precedence over quantity. The band presents a blend of metallic-tinged alternative rock with an emo edge, produced with a contemporary polish, yet still carrying a slightly nostalgic feel. The powerful, emotive vocals immediately bring to mind the (almost) forgotten FACE TOMORROW. “When the angels fall” could easily pass as a mid-2000s track by THE USED. A solid release that has the potential to win over not only listeners but also fans."
