Before we dive in, let’s talk about what orgcore even is.
It got its name because many of these bands were frequently featured on punknews.org.
No orcs involved — sorry, powermetalheads.

Orgcore was a term used to describe pop punk with gruff vocals, PBR-fueled sentimentality, infectious melodies, and lyrics worn straight on the sleeve — aging punks who’ve spent their best (and worst) years playing in bands, getting their hearts broken, and probably drinking too much. There’s a certain arrested development at play, but also self-awareness, growth, and the cathartic power of vulnerable songwriting.

Orgcore is a broad umbrella, covering everything from gravel-throated anthems to wistful, punk-rooted storytelling. While the usual suspects like Hot Water Music and Small Brown Bike often come up, here are some more:
